Welcome to the founding event of the FCAI-SIG on Quantum Machine Learning. Quantum computers are anticipated to revolutionize computational tasks by surpassing classical computers in terms of speed and efficiency. The field of quantum machine learning explores how to devise and implement quantum software that could enable machine learning that is faster than that of classical computers. The goal of the SIG is to provide a platform for its members to collaborate with the Finnish Quantum Flagship program and InstituteQ. Through this SIG we plan to organize seminars and share information with members to overcome the limitations and challenges in quantum computing algorithms and software.
